About

Huntington Quality Associates, Inc. was founded in 1991. Training, auditing and quality management coaching services form the core of HQA's operation. HQA helped United Technologies Automotive (now a part of Lear Corp.) obtain Automotive Quality System Registration for 90 plants worldwide. HQA has also performed preferred supplier training for major equipment manufacturers and works with any size company in any industry to bring their quality system in compliance with the current international/national standards, such as, ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949:2002, ISO 14001, and many others. Transportation, Medical, Automotive, Chemical, Machining, and Equipment Building are a few examples of the industries included among HQA success stories.

Kent Keeney is founder and president of HQA and facilitates many of the training programs. Kent has written four books published by American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Press including "Best Seller," The ISO 9001:2000 Auditor's Companion. Kent is a member of TC 176, the US Technical Committee that reviews all proposed changes to the ISO 9000 related standards. He advocates a simple value add approach to training and implementation and Kent ensures that the entire group of HQA trainers and facilitators share a similar vision.

HQA training focuses on practical activities, such as, case studies and examples to achieve learning objectives. HQA instructors make an effort, especially when providing on-site training to adapt and even customize the training to specific customer goals and objectives.
