Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP),
Control Plan & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

Scope:

This one day program is designed to simplify the process of integrating APQP into the overall Design and Quality Programs.

Designed for:

Design, Quality and Manufacturing personnel responsible for the design, prototype, pre-launch, or production phases of the product introduction process.

Content:

• The intent of the ISO 9001 and QS-9000 product planning process
• The APQP process
• A macro or systems view of the product implementation process
• Simplifying the APQP process to generate control plans and PPAPs

Goals:

To provide participants with opportunities to:

• Understand how to establish linkage between existing processes, APQP, ISO/QS-9000, PPAP and Control Plan requirements
• Engage in activities to simplify the process of document retrieval to demonstrate compliance
• Examine Production Part Approval Process deliverables as an output of the APQP process
• Review the various elements and applications of Control Plans

Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

• Understand how APQP and ISO/QS-9000 compliment each other
• Develop an organized and simplified approach to the implementation of both APQP and ISO/QS-9000
• Organize records to establish an auditable system
• Establish cross linking of APQP elements to simplify activities and minimize wasted effort
