Scope:

This one day program is designed to simplify the process of integrating APQP into the overall Design and Quality Programs

Designed for:

Design, Quality and Manufacturing personnel responsible for the design, prototype, pre-launch, or production phases of the product introduction process

Content:

The intent of the ISO 9001 and QS-9000 product planning process
The APQP process
A macro or systems view of the product implementation process
Simplifying the APQP process to generate control plans and PPAPs

Goals:

To provide participants with opportunities to:

Understand how to establish linkage between existing processes, APQP, ISO/QS-9000, PPAP and Control Plan requirements
Engage in activities to simplify the process of document retrieval to demonstrate compliance
Examine Production Part Approval Process deliverables as an output of the APQP process
Review the various elements and applications of Control Plans

Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

Understand how APQP and ISO/QS-9000 compliment each other
Develop an organized and simplified approach to the implementation of both APQP and ISO/QS-9000
Organize records to establish an auditable system
Establish cross linking of APQP elements to simplify activities and minimize wasted effort
